Objects: an Inventory -- Digital Download
Objects: an Inventory is a print zine by Amy Bornman. The 24-page zine is personal essay, literary criticism, and meditation on the materiality of motherhood woven together into the pleasing “object” of a palm-sized little book. If you’ve ever thought about all the items you touch in a day and how they affect you, this zine is for you. And if you haven’t thought about that before — maybe it’s time?
“In a way, that’s how every part of my life as a mother has felt. My children taking claim over my body, my time, my living space. Taking out all my papers, all the artifacts of my history, and scattering them amongst the graham cracker crumbs.”
(Excerpt from Objects)
This listing is for the digital download version of the zine. To print your own zine, print the “objects -- printable.pdf” file double-sided on letter-sized paper using a printer that has automatic duplex printing. Print the cover file separately — card stock makes a beautiful and durable cover. Use staples or thread to bind. Reference the included printing guide to help you cut and collate this zine.
Also includes a scrolling pdf for digital reading.
Available as a limited edition print zine too! (Here!)
